We are delighted to welcome you into our beautiful garden suburb: Bordeaux South!

We are very proud of the community we have built, the beautiful garden suburb we have developed, and the high level of security we have established.  None of this would have been possible without our members.

The BSRA Committee works closely with our ward councillor, local government authorities, security companies, SAPS, and the people who live here to promote and safeguard the interests of our residents. In order for us to achieve our goals, we rely on residents to both volunteer and contribute a monthly levy of R275.

What the funds are used for

  • Gardening: Keeping our beautiful gardens, sidewalks and parks tidy with a dedicated gardening team
  • Security: Upgrades and installations to protect our residents and reduce crime in our area
  • Play areas: Upgrading and maintaining the fun kids’ areas in the parks
  • Events: Organising community get-togethers for family fun
  • Roads: Signage, speed humps and general road maintenance
  • Fencing: Upkeep and replacing of the fencing that surrounds our neighbourhood
  • Booms: Fixing damaged booms
  • Legal fees: For the continued road closure (approved for 4 years from 2022) and any other legal issues we may have
  • Domestic Watch: Quarterly security meetings that guide and educate helpers to keep themselves and our homes safe
